Warriors Stay Perfect in Lakes Eight
The Western Michigan Christian girls basketball team stayed perfect in the Lakes Eight Conference with a 58-3 win over Orchard View on Friday night.
The Warriors led 12-1 at the first stop, 26-3 at halftime and 44-3 going into the final period.
Taylor Folkema put up 14 points for WMC and had four steals, while Anna Sytsema scored 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Meghan Heiss had seven assists, while Peyton Allen had eight points and four steals.
"I was pleased with our intensity the second half," said WMC coach Jeremy Goorman. "All the girls were playing stellar defense. I thought Greta VanderHeide played her most physical game of the year."
