The Western Michigan Christian girls basketball team opened their season with a home game vs. Tri County. The Warriors had a strong start and led 15-2 at the end of the first quarter. Kate Derdowski had two 3-pointers in the first quarter that ignited the offense.
Head coach Sarah Koetsier said, "This was our first game of the season. It was great to see the team in action. We worked well as a team and are excited to keep improving this year." The Warriors were led in points by junior Kate Derdowsi with 15 points.
