Warrior Girls Golf Season Tees Off
The WMC girls golf season is underway.
The girls participated in the Fruitport Invitational, an 18-hole event last Friday.
"The weather was a bit of a challenge on Friday, but the girls toughed it out and played very well," WMC coach Scott Liggestt said.
"I’m very proud of their grit and determination they exhibited."
Liz Vos led the Warriors with a 95, good for 11th place.
The girls hosted Fremont Monday at Chase Hammond for their first dual meet of the season.
The team was again led by Vos who shot a 52, Zoe Vanderstelt, Elisabeth Bonnema and Kayla Johnson rounded out the Warrior foursome.
"We are learning as we go and our team is loaded with a bunch of great girls. I’m really looking forward to the rest of the season and the future of girls golf at Western Michigan Christian," coach Liggett said.
