Warrior Soccer Routs Reeths-Puffer
The Western Michigan Christian soccer team had no issues with Reeths-Puffer on Tuesday, scoring a 5-1 win over the Rockets in non-conference play.
Isaiah Barco-Morales scored a few minutes before the first half ended on an assist by Hayden Hubers to give WMC a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
The Warrior offense exploded for four goals in the second half, with two goals scored by Andrew Rasmusen, one by Hayden Hubers and a second goal by Barco-Morales to put the game out of reach for Reeths-Puffer.
"We had some real solid play by Hayden, Andrew and Issac VanHoeven up top, and our defenders did a great job of shutting down most of their attacks," said WMC head coach David Hulings.
"We worked really hard in the first half, but we needed to be a little more patient on the attack and create more runs in order to create more chances inside the box. We did that in the second half and the result was a great offensive performance."
