Warriors Defeat MCC 8-0
The Western Michigan Christian boys soccer team took on Lakes Eight Conference rival Muskegon Catholic Central on Thursday, forcing an 8-0 mercy victory.
The Warriors are now 6-1-2 on the season and 2-1 in the Lakes Eight Conference.
Brandon Fles led the way with two goals, while Charlie Alfree, Hayden Hubers, Andrew Rasmussen, Ryan Bradford-Royal, Michael Masumpa and Issac VanHoeven each netted one.
Van Hoeven laced two assists, while Hubers, Alfree, Fles and Brant Zeerip each converted one.
“We obviously played well,” said WMC head coach David Hulings. “MCC is rebuilding. It is tough to learn much in a game like this. There was good play by a number of players. It was a good game to get some experience for our reserves. They are a key to our future and this game put them under pressure to perform. That is a great takeaway for a game like this.”
