The Warriors traveled north to take on Lakes 8 opponent, Manistsee, and came home with a conference win. Adayla Liggett struck first for the Warriors, followed by Morgan Kinnucan's goal to put the Warriors up 2-0 heading into half. The second half was similar as the Warriors picked up two more goals. The first goal in the second half came from Carli Betten. Mogan Kinnucan tacked on her second and the team's final goal of the game. Manistee also scored in the second half to make the game a 4-1 Warriors victory. Anna Sytsema and Claudia Kingma led the Warriors with 2 assists each.
Coach David Hulings:
This was our first victory and it was nice to see the players learning the system. We had some great movement. The first half we had difficulty connecting but we figured it out and started to link up. It was great to have some players back. We play a tough team (Ludington) on Wednesday.
