WMC: 1 Ludington: 1

Another great battle between the warriors of WMC and the orioles of Ludington. Both teams came into this game knowing that the title for conference was on the line. The first few minutes both teams were battling to dominate possession and create chances with the strong bursts of wind. The warriors would be on the attacking foot and generate a penalty kick with 5 minutes into the half. Kaiya Betten (So.) went to volley a rebound from a corner and it grazed the hand of a ludington player inside the box. After some deliberation, Sydney Betten (Sr.) stepped up for the penalty and lasered it home in the top left bin. WMC went up 1 - 0 but that wouldn't stop the orioles from seeking revenge. Both sides would generate some chances until a cross was sent into WMC's box and a defender went to control the ball, however, the ball presumed to look like it made contact with her arms (that were straight by her sides) and the official pointed to the penalty spot. This would be with around 15 minutes left in the first half. This questionable call would put WMC in a vulnerable position.

Libby Mast (Sr.) would step up to the challenge and make an amazing diving save out away from goal, however, that oriole player was able to collect her rebound and bury it in the net to make it even.

WMC and Ludington would enter half-time 1 -1.

The second half would show more grit and battle as both teams looked to find a goal to take the win. WMC dominated shots on goal and possession, however, just couldn't find a way to sneak by the oriole keeper. Brooklyn Watts (So.) would have some great chances on goal, one curving last second to hit the top netting of the goal. Sydney Betten would also have a quality strike that was center-meters away from dipping under the crossbar. Although with those opportunities, WMC was not able to find a solution to take away another win.

Both teams have two conference games left to determine their fate for the Lakes 8 Activities title. WMC will have to win both games against MCC and OV to have a good chance on staying on top.

This now makes the warriors 4 - 0 - 2 in league play and 5 - 5 - 4 overall.
