Warriors Make It to Finals of Gold Division

WMC disposed of five teams en route to the Gold Division finals against Bronson. The Warriors lost to Bronson, who has won the Class C State Championship the last three years.

WMC defeated Traverse City St. Francis 25-19, 25-22

Gold Quarterfinal WMC defeated Covenant Christian 25-17, 18-25, 15-4
 
Gold Semifinal WMC defeated North Pointe Christian 24-26, 26-24, 15-13
 
Gold Final WMC lost to Bronson 13-25, 18-25
 
"The Warriors had a strong day at our home invite with many of the strongest class C teams in the state.  We showed a ton of grit, coming back from behind in a few games in pool play and in the first two rounds of bracket play," WMC coach Trent Smillie said. 

"We finally have everyone mostly healthy and we are starting to gel with our full roster.  We had some great practices this week that helped us this weekend.  We lost in the final to the three-time defending state champion, Bronson.  We hope to play them again in the middle of November."
