Warriors Take Both Games of Double Header to Open Conference Play Against Orchard View

The Warriors finally got back onto the field after having three weeks off since their first game.  The Warriors took game one from the Cardinals 15-0 in 4 innings.  Same Sipe (Junior) pitched all 4 innings allowing 0 hits, 0 walks, and 5 strike outs, on 39 pitches and notched his first win of the season.  The Warriors were led at the plate by Sam Liggett (Senior) with three hits- three of them doubles.  Ethan Hill (Senior) notched three hits as well.  Jamie Cho (Senior) and Caleb McKay (Freshman) had three RBI's each.

The second game of the double header saw the Warriors continue their winning ways with a 16-3 victory in 5 innings.  Alex Wagonmaker (Freshman) notched his first Varsity win allowing 1 hit, 1 run, 3 walks, and 6 strikeouts.  Wagonmaker also helped himself at the plate with three hits while Liggett and McKay combined for five RBI's.

"The guys were itching to get out on the field and finally play some baseball and it showed at how they approached the games tonight.  We were hot at the plate, our pitchers were outstanding, and our fielding was solid.  There are still a few things we want to work on as a team to get better but overall this was a good performance to start conference play."
