Varsity baseball pulls out win in late innings against OV, 5-4.

The Warriors hosted the Cardinals for the final matchup in the opening week of conference play.  The Cardinals got on the board early, scoring 3 runs in the top of the first.  But, the Warriors came storming back in the bottom of the inning scoring 4 runs.  The Cardinals tacked on another run in the top of the second inning to tie the game at 4.  The game remained tied until the bottom of the sixth inning when the Warriors scored the eventual game winner.

Ethan Hill (Senior) recorded the win coming in relief in the top of the sixth inning allowing 0 hits, 0 runs, with 1 walk, and 0 strikeouts.  The Warriors were led at the plate by Hill, Jono Clausing (Junior), Samuel VanOrman (Senior), and Caleb McKay (Freshman) with two hits each.

"OV is a well coached ball team.  We knew they were going to make some adjustments from Tuesday and they took it to us early.  Sam Liggett (Senior) started on the mound and we let him down with some uncharacteristic errors in the field.  But, we are learning to never put our heads down.  We calmed down, battled back, and did enough to secure the win."- Coach Hill
