Warriors Take Down Squires on Senior Night 11-5.

The Warriors took on the Calvin Christian Squires on Thursday for a single game.  The Squires jumped out to an early lead, scoring two runs in the top of the first inning.  The Warriors evened the score, scoring two runs of their own in the bottom of the inning.  Calvin then scored two more runs in the top of the third inning.  Again, the Warriors answered the call scoring four runs of their own in the bottom of the third inning to take the lead for good.  The Squires added another run in the top of the fourth inning and then the Warriors opened it up in the bottom of the inning scoring five runs to end the night's scoring.

The Warriors were led at the plate by Sam Liggett (Sr.) going 2 for 4 with a triple and 2 RBI and 2 runs scored.  Sam Sipe (Jr.) went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored.  Caleb McKay (Fr) went 2 for 3 scoring a run.  Alex Wagonmaker (Fr.) took the win pitching 6 innings allowing 12 hits, 6 runs, 4 earned, 2 walks, and 3 strikeouts.

Coach Hill- "What a way for our seniors to enjoy this night.  Sam Liggett, Ethan Hill, Samuel VanOrman, Jamie Cho, and Hogan Harmon have put a lot of time into the program and will leave it in great shape.  Each one plays an important role for the team.  We really wanted this one tonight because this was the same team that gave us the loss when we opened the new Warrior Field last spring."
