WMC drops game in district finals to MCC, 3-2.

The Warriors faced off with the Crusaders for the fourth time this season.  MCC took the lead in the bottom of the first inning scoring a run then adding two runs in the bottom of the third inning.  The score would remain 3-0 until the top of the fifth inning when the Warriors would score a run.  The Warriors scored one more run in the top of the seventh inning but couldn't add any more.

The Warriors managed 7 hits on the day with Samuel VanOrman (Sr.) leading the way with 2 hits of his own, one being a triple in the seventh inning and added an RBI.  Sam Sipe (Jr.) added an RBI on 1 hit.

Sipe led the way on the mound pitching all 6 innings, allowing 6 hits, 3 runs, 1 earned run, 1 walk, and 4 strikeouts.

Coach Hill- "We were hitting the ball well today but right at guys in the field.  We also left the bases loaded once, and guys on second and third twice.  It makes it difficult to win games when we allow that to happen. Sipe pitched another great game. The guys have nothing to hang their heads about- they won the last Lakes 8 Conference title ever and ended the season 10 games over .500.  There is excitement in the Warriors baseball program again.  Thanks to all the family and fans that came out and supported us this season.  Go Warriors!"
