WMC opened their conference schedule against Manistee.  It was an incredibly close and even matched meet the whole way.  The guys ran very well today and everyone really stepped it up a notch.  The distance crew (Eli, Jack, Andrew, Daniel) came up big for us today and really showed their depth across the board.  We also had some key PRs in the sprints from Johnscott Finley and hurdles from Tyler Somers where we picked up some points we weren't necessarily planning on.

In the end we fell a bit short in the final score 66-70.  We knew it was going to be a stretch to beat Manistee and the coaches were proud of the way the team fought for every place. Even though it was a win this was a great start to our conference schedule.        -Coach Josh Scholma
