Boys Have Great League Meet at Ludington

The guys track team had a great showing Monday at the Conference Championship track meet.

  The Warriors finished in 3rd place behind Manistee and Ludington, who won the meet. 

"The guys continue to improve and set personal records which is great to see," WMC coach Josh Scholma said. " Looking forward to what we can accomplish Friday at regionals."

Those athletes who finished first or second in their event received all conference honors.

1st Team All-Conference:

Tyler Somers (110m Hurdles, 300m Hurdles)

2nd Team All-Conference:

Johnscott Finley (400m, 400m Relay)

Jack Zuidema (3200m)

Solomon Waller (400m Relay)

Dirk Teeter (400m Relay)

Other top finishers:

Solomon Waller:  3rd in the 100m (12.17)

Eli Rotman:  3rd in the 1600m (4:52)

Evan Ruiter:  3rd in the Discus (103'11)

Jack Zuidema:  4th in the 1600m (4:54)

Johnscott Finley:  5th in the 200m (25.01)

Isaiah Visker:  5th in 110m Hurdles (19.14), 6th in 300m Hurdles and Long Jump

Andrew Plaisier:  6th in the 3200m (11:21)

Sam Braak:  6th in the 110m Hurdles (19.18)

3rd in the 3200m Relay:  Plaisier, Rotman, VanderKooi, Zuidema (8:46)

3rd in the 1600m Relay:  Somers, Waller, VanderKooi, Finley (3:38)
