Warrior Runners compete at the W. MI All-Star Meet:

What a great night for WMC track!  WMC competed in the West Michigan All-Star Meet which invites the top 16 individuals (and 8 relay teams) per event from 30 schools from across West Michigan.  This is not a scored meet but medals are awarded to the top 6 finishers per event.  

For an athlete to be invited to this meet is a pretty big deal and we had 10 athletes qualify in 11 different events.  Even though we were one of the smallest schools there we definitely held our own.  Times continue to drop which is great to see heading into the state finals.

Special recognition as well to the 4x800m Relay (Andrew Plaisier, Eli Rotman, Seth VanderKooi, Jack Zuidema) and the 4x400m Relay (Johnscott Finley, Solomon Waller, Seth VanderKooi, and Jack Kim) who ran big personal records but finished just out of the medals.

Girls Compete at All-Star Meet

Wednesday was a beautiful night to jump and run at Reeths-Puffer.

"The girls performed well and had many personal and season records," coach Annma said.  "It is an honor to be invited to participate in the All-Star meet because you need to be in the top 16 athletes in each event out of 30 area schools. This year we had 8 girls on the team invited."
